Most images are from scientific visualization models and experiments developed at The Center for Polymer Studies. The first set of images show that fractals and branching structures show up in all corners of nature, leading us to speculate that there may be underlying physical principles which guide their growth (many of these pictures are reprinted with permission as part of our science museum exhibit). CPS staff have developed computational models for such systems. Can you see similarities between them?
